SAVE THE DATE. The most important event in the airport industry’s calendar will soon be with us again– inter airport Europe 2023. We will be in Munich on October 10-13 to introduce ADB SAFEGATE Airside 4.0 and how we can help empowering the Airside evolution. We´re looking forward to meeting you in person at Booth 1320, Hall B5, where can discuss working together with the beginning of a new era in aviation.
The future of the aviation industry is data-driven and technology-enabled, and Airside 4.0 is at the forefront of this evolution. It is empowering airports to move towards a smarter, more sustainable future, paving the way for efficient and safer airports.
Traditionally, airfield lighting fixtures served only basic functional purposes, enabling airports to switch lights on and off to guide aircraft during landing and taxiing manoeuvres. However, with the addition of integrated sensors into AGL IoT devices, it is possible to collect a tremendous amount of data, not only regarding the operation of the light but also about the airside ecosystem in which it operates. Digital twins are modelled to replicate the behaviour and performance of the physical objects in real-time, using data gathered from the sensors or other sources of information.
The aviation industry is evolving rapidly and airports must adapt to meet the new challenges and demands of the industry. Hubs are under more pressure than ever to reduce costs, increase safety and improve efficiency. The Airside 4.0 concept by ADB SAFEGATE empowers them to achieve these goals by leveraging new and emerging technologies to revolutionise airside operations.

PRESS RELEASE. Leveraging innovative artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions from ADB SAFEGATE, SHIA-operated airports can more accurately predict Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) to improve apron operations and passenger services. 75% of flights now land within 30 minutes of their scheduled landing time benfiting pre-allocation of stands and reducing the need to make stand changes by 25%.
PRESS RELEASE. ADB SAFEGATE is working closely with Shanghai Pudong International Airport to optimize resource allocation and improve operation efficiency with an upgrade of the Airport Operational Database/Resource Management System (AODB/RMS). Since the upgrade, more than 80% of stand allocation operations can be completed automatically. Continue reading
